    Yo creo que this quote resalta la importancia de entender el cuidado para los jovenes y sus familias, resaltando la necesidad de una gran cantidad de servicios acesibles that address many aspects of well-being. Reconociendo that emotional, social, educational, physical, and mental health are connected, addressing one area often impacts the others. It is important that educators, and mental health professionals trabajen juntos para crear un support system completo that truly meets the needs of young people and their families.

    It stood out because pienso que es algo que los jóvenes hoy en día están teniendo dificultad con su estado de salud mental, físico y también educational y que quieran buscar una solución y tratamientos que los ayude a mejorarla no solo a los jóvenes si no también a sus familias eso es admirable.

Necesito una siesta Zzz

Looking at all the capstones projects it is a little stressful, I get a sense of overwhelming pressure, hoping to meet the requirement before the deadline, I have a lot going on with School and work this week so that is contributing to my anxiety, maybe when I look at it later on I might have a different feeling about this project. 

I was thinking that maybe my capstone project could be about students/humans who's first language is not English or that came to the U.S when they were young and the challenges they faced not being able to fully communicate or it could be about first generation students, I am not sure yet. I will try to put my ideas together and hopefully end up with a project that will fulfill the class requirement and something that I will feel proud of.

Investigación

 This is a Qualitative research about Youth engaging in social justice activism, Clemons interviewed youths from Youth Development organization to create her research. Clemons observes their behavior and then interviewed them a second time asking follow up question to collect more data all this while supporting them and helping them discover new skill and having a positive impact in the community.

Buscando respuestas

 The question that I chose was: What if I never moved from the Dominican Republic?

~Critical Theory;

1- Identify a problem with a social reality.

2- Identify who should change it.

If I were to take a critical approach I might answer my question this way: I do not think my parents would have made the decision to come to the US if the DR had better economy and more opportunities. Some of the problems are; ingresos insuficientes, inestabilidad laboral, inflacion y aumento de los precios. 

Who should change it? The government, el Ministerio de economía. One of the reasons why many Dominicans began to come to the United States and other countries was when Trujillo was in power around 1960, and after Trujillo died the government improved. I don't know how it is at the moment, I believe it's fine but not enough for families to have an income that covers the basic needs of a working class family. Por eso siguen buscando una mejor vida en otro lugar.
